Under Floating Floors Applications

Thanks to its gentle running temperatures, Warmset can safely be integrated with a variety of
floating floors applications, including engineered timber, laminate, and vinyl.

Key Benefits

No Fuss Installation

The floor can be installed directly over Warmset Aluminum heating mat, making this a particularly fast installation. With tongue and groove floors, we recommend adding MDF boards between the heating mat and the floor.

Complete and Uniform Heat Distribution

The 2.5-3mm thin mat is sandwiched between aluminum foil layers that guarantee an even spread and distribution of heat across the space, ensuring comfort across the whole space.

Ideal for Retro-Fits

Thanks to its ease of installation and minimal height build-up, renewing that old floor without breaking it is now a dream come true.

Lifetime Warranty

Just like Warmset Gold, Warmset Gold Aluminium also comes with a lifetime warranty. You must use a minimum 5mm. soft thermal insulation (please enquire).

Warmset vs. Traditional Heating

Warmset Heating

Experience the next generation of heating with Warmset’s far-infrared technology. Designed for efficiency, comfort, and safety, Warmset delivers even heat distribution, lower energy consumption, and zero electromagnetic fields. With fast installation, low maintenance, and long-term cost savings, it’s the smarter choice for modern homes and businesses.

Traditional Heating

Conventional heating systems rely on convection to warm the air, often leading to uneven heat distribution, higher energy bills, and dry indoor environments. Whether using electric cables, hydronic systems, or radiators, traditional heating methods can be costly to install, slow to heat, and less energy-efficient over time.

Insulation

How to pick the correct insulation level? Follow these guidelines:

  • Low insulation: below 7 stars rating
  • Average insulation: 7 stars rating
  • High insulation: 8+ stars (Passive or similar)

How to determine the correct estimated wattage? Follow these guidelines:

  • Low insulation: 150W
  • Average insulation: 100W (150W for bathrooms)
  • High insulation: 40W to 80W (100W for bathrooms)

Climate zones

  • Zone 4 & 5: Hot/dry summer, cool to cold winters (Ex. Adelaide, Sydney)
  • Zone 6 & 7: Mild to cool temperate (Ex. inland VIC, inland Southern SA, inland NSW)
  • Zone 8: Regions with snowfalls
